Usage Rules
In order to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort has established the following rules of use based on Article 10 of the Accommodation Agreement. We ask for your cooperation.
If you do not abide by these rules of use, we may have no choice but to refuse your stay or use of the hotel’s facilities in accordance with Article 7 of the Accommodation Clauses. The hotel will not be held responsible for any accidents caused by failure to abide by these rules of use. Please be aware that you may be responsible for any damages incurred.
Fire and security precautions
- Please do not bring in or use firearms for heating, cooking, etc., or irons, etc., in the guest rooms.
- Do not smoke outside of the designated smoking areas in the building. (including heated cigarettes)
- Do not hang clothes or dry laundry on the lampshade. Do not engage in any other activities that may cause a fire.
- Our hotel has an automatic locking system, but please make sure your room is locked when you leave it during your stay.
- Please hang the door arm from the inside of the door during your stay, especially when you are sleeping. If you have a visitor, do not open the door carelessly. If you suspect someone is suspicious, please contact the front desk immediately.
- Please refrain from meeting with visitors in the guest room.
- Accommodation of guests other than those registered to stay at the hotel is strictly prohibited.
- In accordance with the Fire Service Law, firefighting equipment such as smoke detectors and sprinklers are installed in guest rooms. The hotel will not be liable for any damage incurred by guests themselves due to the activation of firefighting equipment such as sprinklers as a result of smoking.
In addition, if you cause any damage to the hotel or other guests, you will be required to compensate for such damage. - For the safety of our guests, even if a “Do not disturb/do not wake” card is displayed on the guest room door, if the hotel has not been able to contact the guest for an extended period of time, a hotel employee will call the guest room or call out in front of the room. Please note that if there is no response or in the event of an emergency, etc., the hotel will enter the guest room if it is deemed necessary by the hotel.
- Minors only are not allowed to stay at the hotel without parental permission.
Handling of Valuables and Checked-in Items
- Please use the safe deposit box (free of charge) at the front desk to store your cash and valuables during your stay. The hotel will not be responsible for any damage caused by loss, damage, or theft of cash or valuables without using the safe deposit box. Please note that art, antiques, furs, and other items will not be accepted. Use of the safe deposit box is limited to the period of your stay. If you leave the hotel without permission while the safe is still in use, you may be charged for the replacement of the lock or storage fee. We may not be responsible for any loss of items in the safe.
- The hotel will only hand over items entrusted to us by our guests to those who have an exchange voucher. The hotel will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from the loss or theft of an exchange slip, regardless of the cause. The hotel will not be held responsible for any loss of items after they have been handed over.
- Lost and found items will be kept for a period of 7 days, including the day of discovery, after which they will be reported to the police station with jurisdiction over the hotel in accordance with the Lost and Found Law.
- Deposited items will be kept for one month, after which they will be handled in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
Please note that you will be responsible for any costs associated with the shipping of your lost and found items.
The Hotel’s responsibility for the safekeeping of lost and found items shall be in accordance with the provisions of Article 17, Clause 2 of the General Accommodation Terms and Conditions.
About Payment
- Payment must be made in currency or by a traveler’s check, room voucher, credit card, or other alternative method acceptable to the hotel, and must be made each time a bill is presented by the hotel.
When using the hotel’s restaurants, bars, etc. with your signature, please be sure to present your room key or room card. - An advance deposit of the room charge will be taken upon check-in.
- We do not accept payment by checks other than travel checks.
- We will not accept any advances for purchases, tickets, cab fares, postage stamps, baggage postage, etc.
Conduct that we ask you to refrain from
- Please do not bring any items into the hotel that may disturb other guests.
(1) Animals, birds and other pets. (excluding assistance dogs)
(2) Items that emit a noticeably bad odor or high-pitched noise
(3) Items that are likely to ignite or catch fire, such as gunpowder or volatile oil
(4) Firearms, swords, and methamphetamine, the possession of which is prohibited by law. - Do not engage in gambling, disrupt the public morals or public order, or behave in a manner that may cause inconvenience to other guests in the hotel. Do not disturb other guests by talking loudly on cell phones in inappropriate places, shouting, singing, or turning up the volume on the TV or radio.
- Please do not allow anyone other than guests to use the guest rooms.
- Please do not use the guest rooms for business activities (exhibition rooms, offices, etc.) or any other purposes other than lodging without the permission of the hotel.
- Do not distribute advertising materials or sell or solicit goods in the hotel or on the premises without permission.
- No unauthorized photographing or recording of any kind is permitted in the hotel or on the premises for business purposes or with any device that may disturb other guests.
Do not post any private video or audio recordings on the Internet or live-stream on social networking sites for business purposes without permission. - Please do not move any of the hotel’s furnishings, make any alterations to the room, or make any other significant changes to the room without the hotel’s permission. If any of the fixtures are lost or damaged, you may be asked to reimburse the hotel for the actual cost of the loss or damage.
Please do not take small items or fixtures out of the guestrooms. Please do not place any items by the window that would detract from the appearance of the hotel. - Please do not order or bring in food and beverages from outside the hotel.
- Please refrain from wearing gowns, slippers, etc. outside of the guest rooms.
Parking Lot
(1) Please follow the guidance and instructions of the parking lot attendants while on the parking lot premises.
(2) Please do not leave valuables or other items in parked cars. The hotel is not responsible for any loss or theft while parked.
(3) Cars parked in spaces other than those designated by the hotel staff will be towed. The cost of towing will be borne by the customer.
(4) Hotel valet service is not available.
(5) Only one car per room is eligible for the hotel’s parking lot during your stay. The preferential rate will be applied at the front desk.
Use of Wi-Fi Internet access service
By using the Internet connection service via Wi-Fi from your guest room, you agree to the following terms and conditions at the time of use.
- When using the Service, customers are required to observe the general manners, morals, and technical rules of Internet use.
- We reserve the right to refuse the use of this service and our hotel to any guest who engages in any conduct that we deem inappropriate, such as any conduct that may cause inconvenience or disadvantage to a third party, or any conduct that may disrupt our services.
- Only customers who have agreed to these Rules may use this service.
- Users’ Responsibility
(1) The Hotel is not responsible for any damage or trouble that may occur when using this service. The Hotel is also not responsible for any Internet sites that you visit using the Service.
(2) In the event that a user causes damage to a third party when using the Service, the user shall resolve the dispute with the third party at the user’s own responsibility and expense.
(3) If a User causes damage to the Hotel due to any of the following acts, the Hotel may demand compensation for all damages suffered by the User.
・If the user violates these rules of use.
・In the event that a user violates these rules of use;
– Transmits or writes harmful computer programs;
– Transmits or writes information about third parties;
・When a user sends or writes information about a third party.
・In the event that a user violates any law or regulation in Japan. - The Hotel reserves the right to make changes to the operation or content of the Service without prior notice to customers when the Hotel deems such changes necessary.
- In any of the following cases, the Hotel may temporarily suspend the use of this service without prior notice to or approval of the customer. In the event of maintenance or construction of the system providing this service. In the event that a natural disaster, incident, or other emergency occurs or is likely to occur, and operation of the Service becomes difficult. In the event that the Hotel deems it necessary to temporarily suspend the use of the Service for operational or other reasons.
- The handling of this service is subject to the laws in effect in Japan.
Regarding cases where there is a risk of a breach of public order
(1) If you are found to be involved in violence, threats, extortion, coercive or unjustified demands, or similar acts, you will be asked to immediately refrain from using the hotel. We also ask that those who have committed similar acts in the past also refrain from using the hotel.
(2) If a person using the hotel is deemed to be mentally or physically weak, or to have difficulty ensuring his/her own safety due to drugs or loss of self from alcohol consumption, or if he/she is deemed to be a danger to other guests or to cause fear or anxiety, he/she will not be allowed to use the hotel immediately.
(3) If you cause disgust or inconvenience to others by shouting, singing, boisterous behavior, or any other conduct in the hotel or guest rooms, or if you engage in gambling or any other conduct offensive to public order and morals, we will immediately refuse your use of the hotel. (3) Any other acts similar to those described above will be prohibited.
(4) Please note that security cameras are installed throughout the hotel except in the guest rooms.
Changes to the Rules of Use
- These Terms and Conditions of Use fall under the standardized terms and conditions under the Civil Code, and the Hotel will change them at its own discretion in the following cases
(1) When the change in the rules of use conforms to the general interests of the guests.
(2) When the change in the rules of use is not contrary to the purpose of the accommodation contract and is reasonable in light of the circumstances surrounding the change. - Any modification of these Rules of Use shall be applied from the effective date specified at the time of posting the contents of the modified Rules of Use on the website designated by the Company.
Emergency Information
This is a guide to prepare for disasters and other emergencies. For the safety of our customers, we have always taken every precaution to prepare a disaster prevention system, but we ask that you please read this information and cooperate with us in case of an emergency.
- When you arrive at your room
・Please check the emergency exit on each floor and the evacuation route map at the entrance of your room in case of emergency.
・A penlight is available under your desk in case of a power outage. - In case of fire
・If you find a fire, please stay away from the fire and immediately contact the nearest staff or the front desk. Please inform the people around you. If you notice smoke, smell, or any other signs of a fire, please contact the front desk.
・In the event of a fire, we will notify you via the emergency announcement system in the building. Please evacuate calmly and quietly.
・When evacuating, please cover your mouth and nose with a cloth and keep your posture low.
・When evacuating, please use the emergency stairs instead of the elevator. If you need assistance, please ask a staff member for assistance.
・Please use the penlight in your room when visibility is poor due to smoke, etc.
・Please do not return to the building after evacuating as it is very dangerous. - If an earthquake occurs
・When an earthquake occurs, please stay away from windows until the shaking stops and protect your head and body by getting under a table or the like.
・If evacuation is necessary, an emergency announcement will be made in the hotel and hotel staff will guide you.
・When evacuating, please protect your head from falling objects and try to avoid places where there is a risk of falling or glass.
・Please wear your own shoes instead of slippers to avoid falling objects or shards of glass under your feet.
・Please use the penlight in your room in case of power outage, etc.
・Please use the emergency stairs instead of the elevator. If you need assistance, please ask a staff member for assistance.
・Please do not return to the building after evacuating, as it is very dangerous. - If a typhoon approaches or strikes
・Please do not open the windows of your room for your own safety.
・If a power outage occurs, please do not panic and wait for the staff to inform you. - If you feel unwell
・If you do not feel well, please contact the nearest staff member or the front desk. Thermometers, ice pillows, etc. are available.
・If you vomit, please contact the nearest staff member or the front desk. Our staff will go to the front desk to clean up the room.
・If you need to go to the hospital or call an ambulance, please contact the nearest staff or the front desk. - If you find a suspicious object
If you find a suspicious object in the building, for your own safety, please do not approach or touch it and contact the nearest staff member or the front desk.
