Laundromat Terms of Use

The user shall use the laundromat operated by Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort (hereinafter referred to as “the Hotel”) (hereinafter referred to as “the Facilities” and including various fixtures and equipment). (hereinafter referred to as the “Hotel”) (the “Facilities”, including various fixtures and equipment, etc.). (hereinafter referred to as “the Hotel”), you shall agree to the terms and conditions of use (hereinafter referred to as “the Terms and Conditions”) set forth below. The user agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions of use (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms and Conditions”).

(Details of use)
Article 1
The use of the laundry equipment of the Hotel is for the user to wash clothes, etc. by the user himself/herself for a fee.
Use of this facility does not constitute an outsourcing of laundry services to the Hotel or an obligation to store clothing and other items brought into the laundry store.

(Compliance with Terms and Conditions of Use, etc.)
Article 2
You are required to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the notices posted in the facility, and the instructions of the hotel’s employees.
The rates displayed in the facility and the available hours of use corresponding to the rates are only estimates.
The drum may not be filled with more clothes, etc. than the specified amount indicated on the laundry equipment.

(Responsibilities of Users)
Article 3
Users are responsible for the following.
・Operate the laundry equipment in accordance with the operating instructions provided in the facility.
・Determine what type of clothes to wash and how to dry them.
・Before placing clothes, etc. in the drum, check to see that there are no items left behind that may stain or damage the drum or the clothes, etc.; Check to see that there are no items left behind that may stain or damage the drum or the clothes, etc. In light of the fact that laundry machines are continuously used by an unspecified number of users, this does not guarantee that the inside of the drum of the laundry machine will always be free from stains or damage to clothes, etc.
・The user shall, before placing clothes, etc. in the drum, check to see that there are no items in the pockets or between the clothes, etc. that could stain or damage them, and no metal or other foreign objects that could damage the laundry equipment or cause it to malfunction, and exclude any such items.
・Measures to prevent theft or loss of items within the facility.

(Detergent)
Article 4
Detergent is an automatic loading system. You may not use detergent that you have brought with you.

(Clothing, etc. for which laundry and drying services are not available)
Article 5
The following clothing, etc. are not permitted to use the laundry service.
・ Shoes
・ Items used by persons suffering from, or at risk of suffering from, infectious or contagious diseases
・ Items with significant dirt or debris
・ Items with dirt on them
・ Items used by pets

(End of washing and drying)
Article 6
After washing or drying is finished, remove the laundry as soon as possible for the next user.

2. If laundry is left in the laundry equipment after operation is completed, the next user may remove the laundry and place it in any desired location, but the user who left the laundry in question shall have no claim against the person who took such action or against the hotel.

(Malfunction of laundry equipment)
Article 7
If the laundry equipment stops halfway through the washing or drying process, or if the money changer malfunctions or otherwise fails, please notify the front desk immediately.

2. in the case of the preceding paragraph, if the suspension of the laundry equipment is found to be due to no fault in the user’s method of operation or handling, the user shall be refunded the usage fee.

(Handling of Lost and Found)
Article 8
In the event that clothing or other items left on the premises are delivered to the hotel’s front desk or discovered by an employee of the hotel, said items will be placed in the lost and found corner located in the laundry store and should be retrieved by the user himself/herself as appropriate.

2. In the case of the preceding paragraph, clothing that has not been picked up for one week or more will be disposed of by disposal or any other method. The user concerned shall not be able to make any claim for such measures.

3. If cash or other valuables are delivered to the front desk or found by the hotel’s employees, the hotel will take action in accordance with the provisions of the Lost and Found Law.

(Issuance of Receipt)
Article 9
If you need a receipt for the usage fee for this service, please ask at the front desk.
In order to confirm the amount of the fee, the amount of laundry to be washed and dried may be checked.

(Compensation for Damages)
Article 10
In the event that a malfunction or breakdown of laundry equipment occurs for reasons attributable to the Hotel, and the user’s laundry is soiled or damaged, and the user suffers damages, the Hotel shall compensate for such damages.
However, except in the case of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the hotel, the maximum amount of compensation for damages to be borne by the hotel shall be double the amount of the usage fee paid by the user for the use of said equipment.

2. In the event that the laundry equipment or the facilities are defaced or damaged due to reasons attributable to the user, and the hotel suffers damages, the hotel will claim compensation from the user for the damages suffered by the hotel.

(Language)
Article 11
These General Terms and Conditions are prepared in Japanese and English, but in the event of any inconsistency or difference between the two texts of the General Terms and Conditions, the Japanese text shall control in all respects.

(Governing Law and Court of Jurisdiction)
Article 12
Any dispute arising from the use of this facility shall be governed by the laws of Japan and shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district or summary court of Japan having jurisdiction over the location of the Hotel.

(Modification of the General Terms and Conditions)
Article 13
These General Terms and Conditions constitute the standardized terms and conditions under the Civil Code, and the Hotel will modify the General Terms and Conditions at its discretion if the modification is in the general interest of the guest or is reasonable in light of the circumstances surrounding the modification.

2. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions shall be posted on the hotel’s official website and shall take effect as of the effective date specified at the time of posting at.

Supplementary Provisions
Article 1
The Hotel has established the Hotel’s General Conditions of Accommodation on February 20, 2025, which shall come into effect on the same date.
